Charles O'Leary, Jr.

Charles J. "Cronan" O'Leary, Jr. of Wakefield, died on Tuesday February 6 at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading.

Born in Hopewell, VA on December 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Marie (Finn) O'Leary.

Mr. O'Leary was raised in Virginia and was a graduate of Benedictine High School in Richmond, VA. He had also attended Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina and had earned his Master's Degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Mr. O'Leary was a retired disability examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He had also been a member of St. Eulalia Parish of Winchester.

Mr. O'Leary was the beloved husband of Sally A. (Kavolus) O'Leary. He was the devoted father of Paul C. O'Leary and his wife Dana of Houston, TX and Jennifer A. O'Connor and her husband Thomas of Medfield. Charles was the beloved grandfather of Tommy, Kathleen, Patrick, Caroline and Brendan O'Connor and Liam, Patrick and Molly O'Leary.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass in the St. Eulalia Church 50 Ridge St in Winchester at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at funeral home on Thursday from 4-7pm. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House 320 Haverhill St. Reading, MA 01867 or the charity of one's choice.
