Charlotte E. Morton , 93, of Stoneham, died Thursday, January 14 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.
Born in Boston on May 19, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Mary C. (Flynn) Roberts.
Charlotte was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1940 and later attended nursing school at the Chelsea Soldier's Home. She had been a Stoneham resident since 1951 and had worked as a former LPN at the Choate Hospital in Woburn. She had been a foster parent for decades - caring for hundreds of children over the years.
Charlotte was the wife of the late David F. Morton , III. She was the mother of Pamela Morton Blaquiere of Groveland, Cheryl M. Kline of Stoneham, Barbara Morton-Robinson of Windham, NH and Christian Alexander Morton of Reading. She was the grandmother of David and his wife Lauren, Amanda, Sabrina, Zachary and Joshua. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were private. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, Stoneham.
