Cheryl Ann Votour, age 44, of Reading, passed away on Friday, June 21 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. 

She was born in Malden on August 25, 1979 and was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Rita (Bellino) Armstrong of Malden. 

Cheryl was brought up in Malden and received her education at Cheverus and St. Clements schools before going on to graduate from Fisher College in New Hampshire. Her career path led her to a floral management role at Stop and Shop for ten years and later to a job in patient services at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she dedicated herself for the past two decades.

A fitness enthusiast who cherished sunny beach days, Cheryl also enjoyed quality time with her husband dining at the Venetian Moon and indulging in shopping sprees at the outlets.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her beloved husband Douglas R. Votour, with whom she shared nearly 20 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Nickolas, Noah, and Nolan Votour. She was the cherished sister of Shawn Armstrong and his wife Keri of Reading. She was the daughter-in-law of Daniel and Marsha (Heckbert) Votour of Hudson, NH formerly of Medford; the sister-in-law to Laurence Votour and his wife Colleen of Beverly, Christopher Votour and his wife Gina of Hudson, NH, and Cynthia Bransfield and her husband Alan of Methuen. She was the aunt of Christopher Nadeau, Katie Armstrong, Kaitlyn and Joshua Bransfield, and Ronald and Daniel Votour. She is also survived by her dear friends, Kristen (Reardon) Desmond, Jen (Quartarone) Sullivan, Whitney (Poole) Mauriello; and countless more. 

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St, Reading on Tuesday, June 25 at 10:30am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday, June 24 from 4-7pm. 

The family requests relatives and friends honor Cheryl’s spirit by wearing the color purple.
