Christine Gowell

Christine A . Gowell , 93, of Wakefield, died on Wednesday, April 13 at the Life Care Center in Stoneham.

Mrs. Gowell was raised in Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada and had moved to Massachusetts at the age of 18. She was formerly of Saugus and had lived in Wakefield since 1975. Mrs. Gowell was a member of the Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield.

She was the wife of the late Earl S. Gowell . Mrs. Gowell is survived by her son Earl L. Gowell and his wife Bonnie of Saugus, her daughter Deborah A . Elwell of Saugus and her four grandchildren; John & Peter Elwell , Suzanne Martineau and Jennifer Casey. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Mrs. Gowell was predeceased by her 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield on Monday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5 pm. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Care Hospice, 107 Audubon Rd. Wakefield, MA 01880 or to the Vineyard Metro Church, 47 Adams Ave, Saugus, MA 01906.
