Claire Humphrey

Claire T. Humphrey, 85, of Wakefield died on Tuesday, February 7 at her home.

Born in Wakefield on January 25, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Albert and M. Elizabeth (DeVeau) LeFave.

A life long resident of Wakefield, Claire enjoyed dancing, singing, decorating her home and gathering with family and friends. She was also a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield.

Claire was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Humphrey. She was the mother of Dianne Humphrey of Charlotte, NC and Debra Leahy of Wakefield, mother-in-law of John Leahy of Wakefield, grandmother of Nicole Leahy of Lunenburg and Michelle and Patrick Leahy of Wakefield, sister of Mary E. "Beth" Loud of Wakefield and sister-in-law of Agnes LeFave of Wakefield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Joseph LeFave and Rita Carnes.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
