Claire Collier

Claire M . Collier , 81, of Wakefield died on Sunday, February 12 in Wilmington.

Born in Wakefield on January 3, 1931 she was the daughter of the late J. Edward and Mary (McManus) Surette.

Mrs. Collier was a life long Wakefield resident and had lived in Stoneham for the past 10 years. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1949.

She was the wife of the late Allen A. "Bud" Collier . Mrs. Collier is survived by her six children; Ellen M . Cash of Newburyport, Susan A. McCann of Wilmington, Allen A. Collier , Jr. of Laconia, NH, Nancy A. Collier of Plum Island, Tricia A. Collier of Lincoln and Laura A. Wierzbicki of Wilmington and her sister Jeanne Jefferson of Wakefield. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and her 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St, Wakefield on Friday at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of Middlesex East & Visiting Nurse Hospice, 607 North Ave, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.

Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
