, 93, a longtime resident of Wakefield died Saturday, January 2 at the Wakefield Care and Rehab Center.
Born on August 1, 1916 he was the son of the late James W. and Mary Ann (Berryhill)

Mr.
Russell
was a graduate of Sandsprings High School of Okalahoma, Class of 1936. During World War II he served in the US Army. He was a retired shipper and receiver for the Adison Wellesley Publishing Company in Reading. Mr.
Russell
also worked part time for Crystal Auto Parts in Wakefield and enjoyed golf and baseball. He was a member of St. Joseph Church.

was the husband of the late Elvina M. (Mattucci)
Russell
and the late Jennie (Gau)
Russell
. He is survived by his son Buddy
Russell
and his wife Mary Lou of Salisbury and his daughter Mary Ellen Sarni of Wakefield. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield on Thursday at 10am. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. There are no calling hours.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 310 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
