Clement Luke, Jr.

Clement A . Luke , Jr ., 86, of Wakefield died Monday October 17 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield.

Born in Malden on July 8, 1925 he was the son of the late Clement A . & Agnes (Mylor) Luke .

Mr. Luke was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1942. He was a retired sheet metal worker and a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local #17. He was also a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield and the Saugus V.F.W. Post 2346. A veteran he served with the U.S. Navy during W.W. II.

Mr. Luke is survived by his wife of 65 years Catherine E. (Saunders). He was the father of William Luke of Boston, Gerald Luke of Swampscott and the late Susan Luke and Linda Ann Luke . He was the brother of Agnes Crowell and the late John Fitzpatrick, Helen Kelley, Bernard Luke and Mary Kroon. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren , 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends invited to the visitation at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Saturday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10:00. Interment will be at Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry 467 Main St. Wakefield, MA 01880.
