Constance Penta

Constance Marie (Connie) Penta, 86, of Wakefield died Monday evening, September 10th, surrounded by her loving family at the High Point Hospice House in Haverhill.

Connie was born January 28, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Regan) Pelletier.

She worked for several years at the former Transitron in Wakefield, and then for many years at the food counter at the Woolworth in Stoneham, which was her favorite job because she loved people. Connie had a big heart and a great sense of humor. She loved going to Bingo, Las Vegas, and Mohegan Sun. Connie loved the horses, watching bowling, ice skating, and listening to Rod Stewart. She loved going out to restaurants, especially the Olive Garden even though she disliked garlic. Connie will always be remembered for her saying "take anything that isn't nailed down."

Connie was the wife of the late Albert Penta. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Penta Murray of Fort Meyers, FL, Patrice Penta Glynn and her husband Gerald of Hampton, NH, and her son Mark Penta of Haverhill. Connie was the grandmother of Nicholas and Jameson Murray, Jennifer Glynn, Ashley Glynn O'Byrne, and Derek and Darren Davidson. She is also survived by her great grandson Emmett Davidson and several nieces and nephews. Connie was predeceased by her daughter Kimberly Penta Davidson.

A private Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham. Interment with her husband at St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
