Constance S. Roche, 93, a life long Wakefield resident died Monday, August 4 at the Woburn Nursing Center.
Born in Wakefield on April 14, 1915 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Vasile) Sampieri.
Mrs. Roche was a graduate of Wakefield High School. During World War II she had worked for the Chemical War Department. After World War II she had worked for a law firm in Wakefield and had retired as an executive assistance for the CEO for New England Life in Boston. She was a member of Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham for over 30 years and St. Florence Parish in Wakefield. Mrs. Roche was an avid bridge player.
She was the wife of the late Charles Roche. Sister of John Sampieri of North Dartmouth. Aunt of Jay & Gail Sampieri, Paul & Linda Sampieri, Joelle Telis, John & Karen Roche, Bob & Anne Marie Roche, Dick & Shelly Roche, Mary & Bob Giordano, Charles & Barbara Roche and Joan & Dan Gould. Also survived by several grand nieces, grand nephews and dear friends. Mrs. Roche was predeceased by her brother Frank Sampieri.
Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Charities of Boston, 75 Kneeland St, 8th Floor, Boston, MA 02111.
