Daniel Archibald

Daniel R . Archibald , 76, of Wakefield (formerly of Malden) died Thursday, February 25 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Melrose on August 25, 1939 he was the son of the late Clifton J. and Nora (Mattucci) Archibald .

Mr. Archibald was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. He has been a Wakefield resident since 1992 and had worked as a self-employed General Contractor at Archibald & Sons. He enjoyed candlepin bowling, scuba diving and enjoyed the art of stained glass.

Mr. Archibald was the father of Daniel A. Archibald and his wife Carla and Michael J. Archibald and his wife Alessandria, all of Peabody, Randy P. Archibald and his wife Michele of Wakefield, and Robin A. Archibald of Assonet. He was the brother of Linda Costa of Malden, Kathleen MacLaughlin and her husband Mark of Medford and the late Clifton J. Archibald , Jr. He was the grandfather of Gina, Danielle, Justin, Jill, Holly, RJ, Alexandra and Michael and one great grandson, Jovan. He was the former husband of Roberta (McPhee) Archibald and Maryjane Milligan.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield on Thursday, March 3rd, at 12 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
