Darlene M. DeStefano, 61, a lifelong Stoneham resident died on Friday, October 26 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Born in Stoneham on September 24, 1957, she was the daughter of Edward and Lillian Jean (Zacconi) Pinato of Stoneham.
Darlene was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1975. She had worked as a banquet server for Four Points Sheraton in Lynnfield. Mrs. DeStefano enjoyed horse racing, cooking and loved all animals.
In addition to her parents, Darlene is survived by her husband Brian C. DeStefano, her daughter Julie M. DeStefano of Wakefield, her son Steven E. DeStefano of Woburn and her three sisters; Debera Walsh and Dianne Vaughan both of Stoneham and Susan Mello of Wakefield.
Her Funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday, November 2 at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St., Stoneham at 9am. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 1st from 4-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care 30 Winter Pl # 2, Boston, MA 02108.
