David Bachelder

David J . Bachelder , 80 of Wakefield passed away at his home on Monday, January 11th.

He was born in Everett on March 29, 1935, and was the son of the late Walter Bachelder and Violet (Hann) Bachelder .

David was a graduate of Everett Vocational High School, and had been a Wakefield resident since 1968. He was a Machinist in the Tool & Dye Industry, most recently with the Metalspinners of Malden. He was a trustee of the Wakefield Elks, and was also a member of the National Guard of Massachusetts.

He was the beloved husband of Dorothy L. (Coburn) Fazio Bachelder . He was the loving father of David A. Bachelder and his fiancé Kimberly Nolan of Wakefield, Lauri Nahabedian and her husband Stephen of Southboro, Christine Laudenslager and her husband Neil of Rowley, Andrew Bachelder of Wakefield, Richard Staples and his wife Holly of Peabody, and David Staples and his wife Sarah-Jean of Maryland. David was also the brother of Linda Norris of Melrose.

David's funeral will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Thursday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment to be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
