David DeCourcy

David H. DeCourcy, 73, of Wakefield, died on Sunday March 13 at his residence.

Born in Winchester on October 25, 1937 he was the son of the late Fire Chief of Hanscom Air Force Base Harold F. DeCourcy and Mary A. (Lally) DeCourcy.

Mr. DeCourcy was a graduate of Matignon High School, Class of 1955. He earned his Associates Degree in Accounting from Burdett College, his Business Degree from Suffolk University and was a graduate of New England School of Law, Class of 1970. Mr. DeCourcy was a Doctor of Jurisprudence. He was a retired Trust Administrator for Hale & Dorr for 33 years from 1961 to 1995. He was the Financial Secretary for the Knights of Columbus #210 in Winchester for 10 years, Treasurer for the Old South Meeting in Boston.

Mr. DeCourcy is survived by his wife Judith A. (Kelley) DeCourcy, his five children; Janet M. Donovan and her husband Daniel of Groveland, Harold F. DeCourcy and his wife Jill S. of Reading, Elise A. DeCourcy, Cheryl L. Holman and husband Walter K., and David John DeCourcy and wife Jennifer S. all of Wakefield, his sister Betty Ann Halm of Peachtree City, GA and his brother John P. DeCourcy of Andover. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren Caitlin, Kelley, Erin, David, William, Ashley, Paul, Sean, Matthew, Meghan, and Kathleen and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. DeCourcy was predeceased by his brother Paul J. DeCourcy.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10am. A period of visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
