Curtin
, 72, of Burlington and a longtime resident of Lynn, died on Wednesday, July 30 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Lynn on February 22, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (West)
Curtin
.
Mr.
Curtin
was raised in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School. He served in the US Army from 1956 to 1959. Mr.
Curtin
worked for the Strock Company in Everett and was also a member of the Teamster's Union.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was called the #1 Papa.
Mr.
Curtin
is survived by his two daughters Janet Hurley and her husband James of Burlington and Leah
Curtin
of Peabody, two brothers, Kenneth
Curtin
of Lynn, and Donald
Curtin
of Tyngsboro and two sisters, Dorothy Melanson and her husband Thomas of Peabody, and Joan Johnston and her husband Robert of Saugus. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Jason and Justine Finnemore of Salem, Cory

of Salem, Cody
Curtin
of Peabody and Tommi and James Hurley of Burlington, one great-grandchild Michael
Curtin
of Salem and his former wife, Marcia White. Mr.
Curtin
was predeceased by his brother George
Curtin
.
A graveside service will be held at the Lindenwood Cemetery, Montvale Ave., Stoneham on Wednesday at 2 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, Stoneham.
