David R. Naylor, 59, of Wakefield died peacefully at home Tuesday February 14 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 28, 1952 the son of the late Richard & Lillie (Johnson) Naylor.
David was a graduate of Bensalem High School in Pennsylvania. Mr. Naylor served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an operations manager for the Trane Corporation of Woburn for 25 years. David enjoyed sailing on Lake Winnipesaukee, was an avid motorcyclist and hiked and skied the White Mountains of New Hampshire. David was also active in the Wakefield Little League for many years as both a coach and umpire.
He is survived by his wife Gail E. (Doherty) Naylor, his two daughters; Cheryl Naylor of Incline Village, NV and 1st Lt. Brooke Naylor (USAF) of Texas and his two brothers; Richard Naylor and his wife Jackie of Atlanta, GA and Thomas Naylor and his wife Peggy of Cape Coral, FL. David was predeceased by his sister Linda Grasela.
His funeral service will be held in the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St, Wakefield on Monday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield will be held on Sunday from 1-5pm.
