Dean Dones, Jr.

Dean Anthony Dones , Jr ., 24, of Stoneham died Friday, July 29 at the Winchester Hospital.

Born in Boston on August 18, 1991 he was the son of the late Dean A. and Janet M. (Cann) Dones .

Dean was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 2010. He had most recently been working as a painter for The Perfect Coat in Stoneham. Dean was a great high school athlete, participating in the football, baseball and basketball programs at Stoneham High. He was an avid Boston sports fan.

Dean is survived by his loving sister, Meghan R. Dones of Stoneham; his adoring grandmother Ruth Cann of Stoneham; his three uncles: Michael Hunt and his wife Patricia of Wakefield, Steven Hunt and his wife Laurie of Malden, Robert Cann and his wife Linda of Pepperell; his aunt Colleen Yalcin and her husband Yusuf of Wilmington. He is also survived by many cousins. In addition to his parents, Dean was predeceased by his grandfather Robert Cann and his uncle Paul Cann.

His Funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham, MA on Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be private.
