Denis Edkins

Denis P. Edkins, 98, of Peabody died on Saturday, February 2 at the Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village in Peabody.

Born in Lancashire, England on April 15, 1914 he was the son of the late William and Mabel (Pierpoint) Edkins.

Mr. Edkins was raised in England and was a graduate of Pembroke College at Cambridge University. He was a retired Aeronautical Engineer from General Electric in Lynn.

Mr. Edkins was the husband of Marion G. Edkins and the late Yvonne (Fryer) Edkins and Barbara (Burr) Edkins. He was the father of Simon P. Edkins and his wife Beverly of Pennsylvania, Guy M. Edkins and his wife Terri of Lynnfield and the late Christopher W. Edkins. Mr. Edkins was the brother of the late Roy Edkins.

A funeral service will be in the McDonald Funeral Home., 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
