Derek Corner

Derek J. "DC" Corner , 43, of Wakefield formerly of Amesbury and Jamaica Plain died on Friday, May 9 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born in Melrose on March 23, 1971, he was the son of Judith (Coffill) Goodwin of Amesbury and the late Jarl Corner , III.

Derek was raised and educated in Amesbury and had attended Northeaster University and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He had worked as an Electrical Engineer.

In addition to his mother, Derek is survived by his four brothers; David Goodwin of Exeter, NH, Jared Corner , Kevin Corner and his wife Michelle of Peabody and Brian Morin of Amesbury and his sister-in-law Mandy Goodwin of Epping, NH.

A funeral service will be held at the Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon St., Wakefield on Wednesday at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Charles Lawn Cemetery in Reading.
