Diana Doherty

Diana M. Doherty, 64, a Lynnfield resident since 1978, died on Tuesday, May 29 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Lynn on April 3, 1948 she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Adamo) DiCastro.

Diana was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1965. She had worked for the Lynnfield Public School System as an Aide in the Grammar Schools and later worked in the Special Education office at the High School.

Diana was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church and was a Eucharistic Minister at the Church. She was also a member of the Village Garden Club, Couples Club and the Red Hat Society.

Mrs. Doherty was the wife of Ted J. Doherty, Jr. She was the mother of Gregg W. Doherty and Kerriann Doherty both of Lynnfield, Keven A. Doherty and his wife Kristin of Danvers and the late Scott T. Doherty and the sister of William DiCastro of Peabody and Joni G. Perry of Swampscott. She is also survived by her 2 grandchildren, Cameron and Ryan Doherty.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friend will be held the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
