Diana Crowley

Diana Lee Crowley , 64, of Wakefield, MA died on Wednesday, August 3 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. Born in Gloucester on November 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Leland G. and Gertrude (Boisvert) Ryan.

Diana was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1964 and was a member of the Rifle Team. She had earned her associates degree from Northeastern University and later worked at The Mass Eye & Ear Infirmary as an x-ray technician. She was a tireless and devoted community resident of Wakefield, MA. Diana was heavily involved in Wakefield Little League and Babe Ruth League Baseball. She served as the official scorekeeper for the American Legion and Wakefield High School Baseball teams. She was also a Troop Leader for the Wakefield Girl Scouts and an active volunteer of St. Josepha'(TM)s Parish in Wakefield.


Diana is survived by her husband Daniel P. Crowley , her three children; Shawn P. Crowley and his wife Kristin of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ryan Crowley and his wife Melissa of Reading and Janel Crowley of Wakefield, her brother D. Michael Ryan of Concord, MA. She is also survived by her three grandchildren; Peter, Patrick and Finnegan Crowley . Mrs. Crowley was predeceased by her sister Marion Ryan.


Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Sunday from 1-4pm. Her funeral will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Josepha'(TM)s Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 oa'(TM)clock. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery on North Avenue in Wakefield at 11 oa'(TM)clock.


In lieu of flowers, the Crowley family asks that you consider a memorial contribution be made to the Wakefield Babe Ruth League, 28 Byron St., Wakefield, MA 01880.
