Diane Caruso

Diane M. Caruso, 62, a Melrose resident since 1967 and formerly of Stoneham and Somerville died on Thursday, Nov. 3 at Epoch of Melrose.

Born in Cambridge on July 3, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Robert
and Lucy (LeFort) Caruso.

Diane was a graduate of St. Clements High School, Class of 1967 and Boston University, 1971. She earned her Masters Degree in special education from Northeastern University in 1973. Diane had worked as a teacher at the Saltonstall School in Salem and was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association.

Diane was the sister of Joseph Caruso and his wife Diane of No. Chelmsford, Robert Caruso of Somerville and Jeanne Caruso and her husband Robert BonVie of Somerville. She is also survived by several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield prior to the mass from 9 to 10 a.m.

In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lymphatic Research Foundation, 40 Garvies Point Rd. Suite D, Glenn Cove, NY 11542 or to the Susan G. Comen MA Affiliate, 89 South St. Suite 406, Boston, MA 02111.
