Domenic Longo

Domenic, A. Longo, 89, of Stoneham, formerly of Reading died on Sunday, February 3 at the Maplewood Care & Rehab Center in Amesbury.

Born in Boston on November 10, 1923 he was the son of the late Florindo and Alphonsina (Todesco) Longo.

Domenic was a graduate of Boston University. He was a retired U.S. Naval Officer and a veteran of World War II. Domenic had been a resident of Stoneham for 20 years and had lived in Reading prior to Stoneham. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Winchester.

Domenic was the husband of Frances K. (Moriarty) Longo. He was the father of Frank G. Longo and his wife Tricia of Wakefield, and Deirdre K. Longo-LeBlanc and her husband Wayne of Amesbury. He was the brother of Nicholas Longo of Saugus and the late Alfred, and Joseph Longo, Mary Santoro, and Florence Lombozzi. He was the grandfather of Zachary, Justin, Alexandra and Domenic.

A Funeral service will be held in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.
