Donald Wright

Donald Wright, age 90 , of Wakefield, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was born in Tring, Hertfordshire, England on May 28, 1933 and was the son of the late Harry Francis and Gwendoline M. (Thorne) Wright. 

As a young man, he traveled the world and had many adventures. He was a man of many talents, an avid book reader, a great historian, especially on World War II, surviving the Blitz of London as a young child during the war. He became a naturalized citizen of the United States on February 15, 1965. 

In all of Donald’s travels and endeavors, his devotion and love for his family was paramount.

He leaves behind his cherished wife Ileana Dancewicz, his beloved daughter Donita Wright-Bourne, grandson Brandon Wright-Bourne, granddaughter Shelby Wright-Bourne, grandson Devon Wright, granddaughter Paige Wright, grandson Hayden Wright and great granddaughter Harpper Lee Mary Wright-Bourne. He is predeceased by his first wife Mary L. Wright (nee Castaldo) and his son Regan D. Wright. 

He will be sorely missed by the many people whose  lives he touched , as well as his loving extended family. 

A private interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield, MA.
