Donna Stansfield

Donna M . (Thamer) Stansfield , of Saugus, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2021, with her family by her side, at Beth Israel Hospital of Boston.

Prior to her recent accident, Donna enjoyed living independently in Saugus and visiting with her neighbors, friends, and family. Donna was full of life and love. She sparkled everywhere she went. Her personality was bold and confident. She enjoyed having coffee in Boston with friends and attending St Anthony's Church in the North End. Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to luncheons and dinners with girlfriends. Donna left a little sparkle everywhere she went.

Donna was born on April 4, 1945, in Lowell; her parents were late Louis T. Thamer and late Edith M . (DiRocco) Thamer. Donna was raised on Oakland street in the highlands of Lowell. She graduated from Keith Hall Catholic High School in 1963.

Donna is survived by her two children: Kelly Valdez of Billerica, George Stansfield IV and his wife Jeanine Stansfield of Reading, her five grandchildren: Eric Sanborn and his wife Rachael Sanborn, Kaila Roberto and her husband Matthew Roberto, Seth Sanborn and his wife Marie Sanborn, Sarah Valdez, And Shelby Stansfield , her four great grandchildren: Kasey Sanborn, Nicholas Roberto, Megan Sanborn, and Emily Roberto. Her sister: Carol Mayrand and her husband Michael Mayrand. Her brother Thomas Thamer and his wife Amanda Thamer. Her six nieces and three nephews: Kim Ahern, Linda Dillon, Alyssa Mayrand, Sonya Mayrand, Noah Mayand, Amanda Dillon, Lexi Kneeland, Michael Kneeland and his wife Kendra Kneeland, and Ryder Kneeland.

Donna was predeceased by her two sisters: Deborah Kneeland (2018), and Sharron Dillon (2020).

Stansfield- Relatives and Friends are invited to her calling hours Saturday from 12-2pm at McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.
