Doris Boisen

Doris M. Boisen, 88, of Wakefield died Thursday May 17. Born in Tremont, PA on February 16, 1924 the daughter of the late Louis & Wilhelmina Kreis. Mrs. Boisen was raised in Tremont and was a graduate of Tremont High School. She later graduated from nursing school. She worked with the visiting nurses and later retired from the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital where she worked for many years. She was a volunteer at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital Gift Shop after her retirement and had also been a member of the Wakefield League of Women Voters.

Mrs. Boisen was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Boisen. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan G. Boisen of Stoneham and Carol A. Boisen of Norwood. She was the sister of the late Marion Miller. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Bryan & Beth Hawley.

Her funeral will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Wednesday at 11:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be at the funeral home Tuesday 4-8pm. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
