Doris Censullo

Doris T. Censullo of Wakefield died Saturday August 28 at 96 years of age. Born in Lynn, MA on March 17, 1914 she was the daughter of the late Ernesto & Celesta (Mazaschi) Ramelli. Mrs. Censullo was raised in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. Upon graduation she attended a two year business school in Boston. She and her family moved to Wakefield in 1950. In addition to raising and caring for her family, she worked as a real estate associate and insurance agent with the office of Richard J. Scanlon. She also worked as a Teacher's aide in the Wakefield Public Schools. Mrs. Censullo and her husband retired to Venice, Florida for 25 years, prior to her returning to Wakefield in 2001.

Mrs. Censullo enjoyed a full life. Family and the many friendships she had the privilege of developing were most important to her. She possessed a fine sense of humor and an enthusiasm for life. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, and an active participant at the Wakefield Senior Center.

Mrs. Censullo was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale F. "Pat" Censullo, and the loving mother of Patricia I. Schneider and her husband Ronald of Wakefield. She was the devoted grandmother of David R. Schneider of Wakefield. She was predeceased by her sister Tina Chelidona and her brother Raymond Ramelli.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10:00. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8pm.
