Doris Cummings

Doris L. Cummings, 87, of Wakefield died on Sunday, July 24 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Chelsea on April 29, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Carl I. and Louise A. (Price) Kennedy.

Mrs. Cummings was raised in Wakefield. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School and Forsyth Dental School in Cambridge. She had worked as a dental hygienist until her mid 70a�(TM)s. She was also a member of the Wakefield Garden Club.

Mrs. Cummings was the wife of Foster K. Cummings with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. She was the mother of William A. Cummings of Weston, Wendell A. Cummings of CO and Nancy L. Cummings of Wakefield and the grandmother of Elizabeth & Alistair Cummings & Meredith L. Pamp.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
