Doris Ford

Doris Mae Ford , age 92, a longtime Stoneham resident died Sunday June 9 in Melrose. She was born September 10, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Leon and Elsie Mae (Carter) Tibbetts. She was raised in Chelsea and attended Chelsea public schools. She later made her home in Stoneham in 1966. She was devoted to her late husband and children and had a great passion for gardening.

Mrs. Ford was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Ford . She was the loving mother of John E. Ford and Francis J. Ford , Jr. of Stoneham, Diane Marion and her husband Daniel of Dracut and the late Christine Podlaski and her surviving husband Ronald of Chelsea. She was the sister of Donald Tibbetts and his wife Pearl of Saugus and the late Edward Tibbetts, Bertha Jackson and Frances Klare. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Her Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main Street Stoneham on Saturday June 22 at 3:00 pm. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the Service beginning at 1:00pm.
