Dorothy "Debby" E. DiSciullo

Dorothy “Debby” E. DiSciullo, 75, of Saugus, MA passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 4 ,2025. 

Debby was born in Everett, MA on April 13, 1949, to the late Rudolph and Dorothy (Varga) Disciullo. Debby earned her masters in reading at UMass Boston, formally Boston State. Debby’s passion was teaching children. She had a long-time career teaching at Everrett and Boston elementary schools as a reading and ESL “English as a Second Language” teacher. Debby also loved spending time with family and to travel, some of her favorites were Graceland, Disney and Italy.

She will be sadly missed by her sisters Jean Disciullo of Andover, MA and Elsie DeGiorgio and her husband John of Burlington, MA; niece, Karen Kavka and her husband Joe of Andover, MA; niece Ariel Twohig of Andover, MA; nephew John DeGiorgio his and wife Karyn of Billerica, MA; great nieces and nephew Rayne and Haley DeGiorgio and Katelyn and Patrick Kavka. Debby also leaves behind many longtime friends. 

Her Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday January 10 at 12:30pm. Visitation prior to the service will be held at the funeral home from 10:30am-12:30pm. Interment to follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
