Dorothy Cummings

Dorothy F . Cummings , age 92, of Windham, NH and formerly of Wakefield died Monday March 15 in Windham. Born in Medford on September 16, 1917 she was the daughter of the late John & Frances (Mahoney) Hurley. Mrs. Cummings was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Girl's Catholic High School in Malden. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1942 before making her home in Windham.

Mrs. Cummings was the wife of the late George H. Cummings . She was the mother of David G. Cummings of Elgin, SC, Linda Valle of Salisbury, John P. Cummings of Stratham, NH and Patricia Dyson of Derry, NH. She was the sister of Edward Hurley of Eastham and the late John Hurley. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Friday at 8:30am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 9:30. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday 6-8pm.
