Dorothy Finn

Dorothy L. Finn, 87, of Melrose formerly a longtime resident of Wakefield died April 17, 2015 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.

Born in Wakefield on May 22, 1927 she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Schwarz) Murphy.

Dorothy was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1945. She had worked and retired as the treasurer of Wakefield Co-operative Bank. She was a longtime member of Bear Hill Golf Club and was also an active bowler. She was also member at St. Joseph Church.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late William Finn. She was predeceased by her brothers William and Robert Murphy and her sister Patricia Sen. She is also survived by her nephew Ronald Sen and nieces Laura Sen, Kathryn Sen, and Maureen Murphy Burgess and dear friends.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
