Dorothy Keefe

Dorothy M . Keefe , 92, formerly of Chelsea and Lynnfield died on Friday, August 17 at Woodbriar of Wilmington.

Dorothy was the loving wife of the late William E. Keefe , Jr. She was born in Chelsea on June 19, 1920 and was the daughter of the late William A. and Mary (Tully) Levy. She was a graduate of Chelsea High School Class of 1938. Dorothy lived in Chelsea for over 80 years. For many years, she was an active member of Saint Rose of Lima parish.
Dorothy worked for several years in the Chelsea Schools; she was an employee of the former New England Telephone Company and an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by her children: Denise Keefe-Maresco and her husband Anthony of Lynnfield, William E. Keefe and his wife Alexia of Littleton, and Patricia MacKay and her husband William of Hudson, New Hampshire. Eight grandchildren also survive Dorothy: Bill Keefe , Patrick and Kevin Maresco, Brian, Katherine, and Kelly MacKay, and Meghan and Sean Keefe . Several loving nieces and nephews, her sister Lorraine Guido of Malden, and many dear friends also survive her. Her four brothers predeceased her: William, John, David and Alfred Levy.

Dorothy's funeral is from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Tuesday at 9AM followed by a funeral mass at 10AM in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut Street, Lynnfield. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation hours are at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8PM. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
