Dorothy Parsons

Dorothy A. Parsons, age 81 of Lynnfield, formerly of Revere died Saturday March 26 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Boston, MA on September 9, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Theresa (Paldi) Marotta.

She was raised in Revere and was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception High School of Revere. She had been a Lynnfield resident since 1979 and was a parishioner of Saint Adelaide Parish of Peabody.

She was the beloved wife of 54 years and the best thing that ever happened to her husband Jack whose life truly began on the blessed day they met. In addition to her husband Jack, she was the loving mother of Atty. John R. Parsons and his wife Karen of W. Peabody and Jennifer McCarthy and her husband Michael of Middleton. She was the loving Nana Dot to her grandchildren Samantha Parsons and Connor, Christopher and Cayden McCarthy. She was also the sister of the late Michael and William Marotta.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Adelaide Church 712 Lowell Street Peabody on Friday April 1 at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Avenue Wakefield on Thursday from 4-7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
