Dorothy Pothier

Dorothy M. Pothier, a lifelong Stoneham resident died Tuesday April 18 at 91 years of age. She was born in Stoneham on February 25, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Hazel (Chambers) Longo. She was a graduate of Stoneham High School and was a past member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Stoneham, V.F.W. She was a member of Saint Patrick Parish of Stoneham and was also an avid BINGO player. She was also active in Catholic Charities for many years and cared for thirty-two children during her association there.

Mrs. Pothier was the beloved wife of the late Alfred D. Pothier. She was the loving mother of Sharon M. Reid and her husband George of Melrose, Barbara A. Foster and her husband Gerry of Newburyport, Kathy M. White and husband Steven of Stoneham and Michael P. Pothier and his wife April of TX. She is also survived by her 8 loving grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Tony, Connie, David, George and Paul Longo and Helen Napoli.

Her Funeral Service in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Saturday at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Friday 4-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude PL. Memphis, TN 38105.
