Edith M . "Edie" D'Agostino , 90, of North Chelmsford, formerly of Wakefield died on Thursday, September 12 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Wakefield on June 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Annie (Prizzeo) Gallugi.

Mrs. D'Agostino was raised and educated in Wakefield and had been a North Chelmsford resident for the past 13 years. She was a former employee at Guillow's Inc. in Wakefield. Mrs. D'Agostino was a member of St. John Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford. She had enjoyed bingo, walking, socializing with her friends and loved Italian cooking. She also volunteered at CTI in Lowell, knitting clothing for underprivileged children. Mrs. D'Agostino enjoyed spending time with her family and will be dearly missed

She is survived by her devoted husband Albert J. D'Agostino , her loving three sons; Albert J. D'Agostino , Jr. and his wife Denise of Lynn, Dennis P. D'Agostino and his wife Diane of Wakefield and Paul D'Agostino and his wife Nancy of Chelmsford. Mrs. D'Agostino is also survived by her 8 cherished grandchildren, 11 adoring great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. D'Agostino is predeceased by her five brothers; John, Patsy, Alfred, Henry and William Gallugi and her two sisters; Delores Moriana and Lucille Thompson.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Monday at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Grove and Salem Sts., Lynnfield at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-6pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
