Edna Reed

Edna L . Reed , 86 of Candia, NH and formerly of Wakefield died Thursday, August 14. She was born in Cambridge on September 3, 1927 and was the beloved daughter of the late Francis and Lillian (Faucon) Sousa.

Edna was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1945. She worked as a bookkeeper for D.K Foote Co. Inc in Wakefield and also the Wakefield Savings Bank. She was a member of St. Joseph Church where she belonged to both the Mother's Club and the Twin Club. For the past 30 years she had been living in New Hampshire.

Edna was the beloved wife of the late Francis A. Reed . She was the loving mother of Philip F. Reed and wife Marcia of Reading, Debra J. Collins and husband John of NH, Francis A. Reed and wife Mary Sue of NY, Lisa A. Fauteux and husband Barry of VT, and the late Donna Falabella and Paul Reed . She was the sister of Francis Sousa of Lynnfield, Joseph Sousa of NC, Philip Sousa of Brewster, Albert Sousa of ME, and William Sousa of No. Andover. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Her funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edna's name to the MSPCA-Angell Fund, Attn: Donation, 350 Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130 or a charity of one's choice.
