Edward Kelley

Edward A . Kelley , 81, of Wakefield died on Saturday, November 15 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield.

Born in Boston on June 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Edward A . and Margaret (Noonan) Kelley .

Mr. Kelley was raised and educated in Roxbury. He served in the United States Marine Corps. during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired iron worker for Local 501.

Mr. Kelley had been a Wakefield resident for 40 years and was a member of St. Joseph parish in Wakefield.

Mr. Kelley was the husband of Doris (Malonson) Kelley . He was the father of Edward A . Kelley Jr., Michael Kelley , Patricia Roberson, Paul Kelley , Maureen Kelley , Robert Kelley and Susan Bettano of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late Helen Creban, Mary Hoverstardt, Ruth Keller and Al and Pauline Rose. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friend may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
