Edward V. Arsenault, Jr. age 70 of Everett, MA died February 27, 2023 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in W. Roxbury.
He was born in Chelsea on June 19, 1952 and was the son of Mary I. (Gallant) Arsenault and the late Edward V. Arsenault.
Edward was raised in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. He served his country in both the United States Marine Corps and the Massachusetts National Guard where he earned the distinction of “Marksman”. He was retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts/ Military Division as an Armorer. He was also a member of the 182nd Infantry Association. He loved spending time with his family, but most of all, Eddie loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed sharing his Dad jokes and making folks laugh.
He was the beloved husband of Clare A. (Madigan). He was the loving father of Melissa Liberge of Everett, Edward V. Arsenault and his partner Lisa Schievink of Derry, NH and Joseph Arsenault and his wife Jenna of Swampscott. He was the brother of Sylvia Myhal and her husband Robert of ME and Paul Arsenault and his wife Jeanne of MN and the late James Arsenault. He was the loving grandfather of James, Stephanie, J.J., Juliet and Jessa. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Monday March 6 at 11:00. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday March 5 from 1-4 pm.
