Edward Eliason
Edward Carl Eliason, 82, of Douglaston, N.Y., went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2021.
He was born in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. on December 17, 1938 to Carl and Ada Eliason.
Edward met Esther Anderson at Rock Church in New York City in 1958. They married two years later on June 11, 1960 and had four children.
He formed the architectural firm Fakler Eliason AIA Architects and Associates with Leo Fakler in the early 1980s, and was president of the Queens chapter of the AIA from 1981 to 1982.
Edward served as a deacon, teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, choir director and leader at Free Gospel Church in Flushing, Queens for over 50 years.
He is loved and remembered by his wife, his brother Alden, his four children and their spouses: Russell Eliason (Aimee), Randall Eliason (Christine), Anders Eliason (Christina) and Darlene Hubbard (Jonathan), and his seven grandchildren: Peter, Evan, Taylor, Ethan, Jason, Isaac and Erik.
