Edward F. Perreault, 99, a long time resident of Wakefield died on April 22, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Gardner on April 8, 1913 he was the son of the late Joseph A. V. and Bernadette (Begin) Perreault.
Mr. Perreault was a graduate of Gardner High School. He was a retired shipping and supplies clerk for Converse Rubber Co.
Mr. Perreault had been a Wakefield resident for 60 years and was a member of the First Parish Congregational Church in Wakefield and the Masonic Lodge AF & AM. He was an avid Golfer, Red Sox and Bruins fan. After his retirement he volunteered at the former Elizabeth E. Boit Home, and with the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Perreault was the husband of the late Barbara (Cadwell) Perreault. He was the father of Lavinia S. Gerould and her husband Rumy of Wichita, KS and Lucinda J. Perrault of Wakefield. He is also survived by his dear friend Clair MacGregor of Wakefield.
A funeral service will be held in the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Wakefield on Thursday at 2 p.m.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
