Edwin Vancor

Edwin R. Vancor, 77, of Lynnfield died on Monday, November 2 at his home.

Born in Stoneham on December 26, 1932 he was the son of the late Edwin W. and Hazel (Tibbetts) Vancor.

Mr. Vancor was a member of many Masonic organizations including Lynnfield Lodge, Converse Lodge, The Lodge of Sterling and Mt. Vernon Lodge #8 Morrisville VT. Also Valley of Boston Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Royal Arch Chapter of the Tabernacle and Aleppo Temple of the Shrine. He was past Master of Lynnfield Lodge and served as their Ritualist for 35 years. He was a District Deputy Grand Master of the Melrose 7th Masonic District and a recipient of the Joseph Warren Medal.

Mr. Vancor was the husband of 58 years to Hazel Jane (Kazukonis). He was the father of James and his wife Loretta of Allenstown, NH and John and his wife Kimberly of Nashua, NH. He was the grandfather of Thomas and Emily of Nashua, NH and Alanna and Richard Mazzola of Manchester, NH.

A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday from 5-9 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
