Effie Hawkes

Effie Louise Hawkes , 101, of Amesbury, formerly of Wakefield and Danvers, died on Friday, April 9 at the Maplewood Care & Rehab Center in Amesbury.

Born in New Brunswick, Canada on January 30, 1909 she was the daughter of the late James Harvard and Estella Maud (Smith) Martin.

Mrs. Hawkes had lived in Wakefield for many years before moving to Danvers. She had also worked for many years at Paul K Guillow Inc and Wakefield Engineering.

Mrs. Hawkes was the wife of the late Willis George Hawkes . She is survived by her daughter, Donna Cucurullo of York, Maine, her granddaughter Dale Cucurullo of Cape Neddick, Maine and her great granddaughter Kerri Huebel.

Funeral services will be private.
