Elaine Anderson

Elaine (Connell) Anderson of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on Monday, January 18.

Elaine was devoted to and adored by her family. She will always be remembered for her endless generosity and her genuine interest in people, always putting others needs before her own. She lived a life to be admired, and enjoyed it to the fullest. She loved to travel and exercise, as well as the opportunity to socialize with her longtime friends. Elaine generously supported and was involved in a number of charities.

Elaine began her career as a medical secretary in Boston, and later went on to a succession of administrative posts in the corporate offices of the Gillette Company in Boston and the McDonald Corporation in Chicago and Tampa, Florida. She was recognized throughout her career for her dedication and her attention to detail. Elaine will be remembered, and most importantly, missed by all.

She is the widow of the late Allen Anderson, daughter of the late Thomas J. Connell and Mary B. Connell, and the sister of the late Robert T. Connell of Nashua, NH. She is survived by her sister Carol Connell of Pinellas Park, Florida, Brother Thomas J. Connell and wife Dorothy of Billerica, MA and Sister Joan C. Ponti and husband Joseph of Methuen, MA as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and loving relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, January 22 from 4-8pm at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 23 at 10am at St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham.
