Elaine Bates

Elaine M. (Gleeson) Bates of Boston, formally of East Boston, passed away on January 20, 2015.

She was the beloved wife of Edward Bates and the loving mother of Elaine McNulty and her husband Scott, and their son Tyler of Wakefield. Dear sister of Edward Gleeson and his wife Elizabeth of Winthrop, Mary Thompson of Texas, William Gleeson and his wife Josephine of East Boston, Joanne Candelora and her husband Frank of Revere. Loving niece of Dorothy Levine and husband Jerry of Malden, and devoted sister-in-law of Karen Bates of Reading. Elaine is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Elaine and Edward are proud owners of Spring Air International of Chelsea.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main Street, Stoneham on Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham at 10 o'clock. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-6pm, friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
