Elaine Moore

Elaine E . Moore , 68, a life long resident of Stoneham, died on Saturday, March 5 at the Winchester Hospital.

Born in Woburn on June 18, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Donald and Elodie (D'Entremont) Moore .

Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1960. She served for 40 years as an Assessor for the town of Stoneham and also served two terms on the Board of Selectman. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her two godchildren; Michelle Hagger of Gorham, ME and David V. Merrill of Stoneham and her two lifelong friends; Rosemarie Merrill and Mary E . Bond both of Stoneham.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick's Church Building Fund, 71 Central St, Stoneham, MA 02180 or to the Class of 1960 Scholarship, In memory of Elaine Moore , c/o Stoneham High School, 149 Franklin St, Stoneham, MA 02180
