The family of Elayne C. Fallica (Michaud), 66, of Wakefield Massachusetts is heartbroken to announce her peaceful passing at her home on January 1, 2021.
Elayne survived by her parents Shirley A. Kelly (Meuse) of Reading and the late Kenneth G. Michaud of Salem. She was a loving mother to Nathan J. Fallica and Cheryl of Lynnfield, Marcelle F. Saurman and Christian of Winchester and a cherished grandmother to Elise, John and Andrew Fallica; Benjamin, Charlotte and Maeve Saurman. She survived by her brother W. Michael Michaud of North Reading and lifelong close friend William D. Curran of Wakefield. Elayne also survived by many nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Elayne was a longtime Wakefield resident, graduated from Wakefield Memorial High School in 1972. She later attended UMASS Lowell and worked as an Analyst for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Elayne spent time volunteering for PAWS and My Brother's Table in Lynn. She enjoyed Maine and traveling to Europe but loved spending time with her grandchildren the most.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Avenue, Wakefield on Friday, January 8th from 3-7:00pm with limited receiving family due to COVID-19 precautions. COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect. Those comfortable attending the visitation will be required to wear a mask and are asked to kindly pay their respects and exit the building to allow for all visitors to greet the family.
A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield on Saturday, January 9th at 10:00am. Interment at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield will be private.
