Elda Cociani

Elda Cociani , 75, of Wakefield, formerly of Revere, died on Wednesday, June 10 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Grisigna, Italy on September 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Amelia (Pucer) and Italo Daris.

Mrs. Cociani was raised in Italy and came to the United States in 1956 and settled in Revere. She then moved to Wakefield in 1976. Mrs. Cociani was a retired stitcher in the Garment Industry and had worked for Greco Bros. She was also a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield.

Mrs. Cociani is survived by her husband Stellio Cociani , her son Lucio Cociani and his wife Yan of Stoneham, her sister Bruna Sapienza of Wakefield, her sister-in-law Germana Daris, and her grandson Yiru Cociani . She was predeceased by her brother John Daris.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
