Eleanore Jorgenson

Eleanore S . Jorgenson , age 101, died peacefully at her residence in Lynnfield on December 22, 2020.

Born on August 30, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Florence (Frase) Stechbart.

Eleanore was born and raised in Chicago and attended Lake Forest College and Northwestern University before marrying and raising her children in Simsbury, CT. The family relocated to Lynnfield in 1975. She was a devoted member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Hartford, CT and Ipswich, MA and was a longtime member of the Centre Club of Lynnfield. Eleanore loved oil painting, ballroom dancing, swimming and traveling the world. For over 20 years she owned and co-operated her deceased husband's marketing company with her daughter. Everything she did was done with style and grace.

Eleanore was the beloved wife of the late Richard N. Jorgenson . She was the loving mother of Jay Jorgenson and his wife Paula of Newburyport and Jill Jorgenson and her husband Stephen Sorrentino of Lynnfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Richard Jorgenson and his wife Amber Edwards of NH and Eric Jorgenson and his wife Brittany of PA. She is also survived by her two great grandchildren: Jada and Tyra.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Church of Christ, Scientist, Ipswich, PO Box 408, Ipswich MA 01938 or to The Centre Club of Lynnfield, 574 Main St., Lynnfield, MA 01940. The Centre Club awards and manages two scholarship funds for high school seniors of Lynnfield.
