Elizabeth Bishop

Elizabeth Bishop , 97, of Peabody formerly of Wakefield, died on Friday, January 27 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Boston on August 4, 1914 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bridget A . (Collins) Grady.

Mrs. Bishop was raised and educated in Roxbury. She was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield. Mrs. Bishop had been a Wakefield resident for 50 years before moving to Brooksby Village in Peabody 9 years ago. She was a retired administrator for WMGLD.

Mrs. Bishop was the wife of the late Harry J. Bishop . She is survived by her son Kenneth J. Bishop of Wheelersburg, OH, her daughter-n-law Catherine Bishop of Manchester, NH and her 3 grandchildren; Kenneth J. Bishop , Christopher Bishop and Kellie Bishop and 7 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St, Wakefield on Thursday at 12pm. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Thursday from 10-11:30am.
